The following is a message from Jeremy Lublin of We Are The Fury
Hey everyone. Friday afternoon we were involved in a serious accident
while driving through Colorado. We crashed our van around the Vail
Passage area of Route 70 near Breckenridge. We were driving through a
heavy snowstorm on our way home from Los Angeles when we hit ice and
lost control of our vehicle and slammed into the guardrail.
Surprisingly, the guardrail held and we didn't fall down the five
hundred foot mountain drop, which is a miracle. As we were sliding
toward the edge our trailer jackknifed and snapped off. This prevented
the van from flipping and rolling over the side of the mountain, which
is a damn good thing because if we had gone over the edge I definitely
would not be here describing the accident to you. For the most part, we
are all alright aside from being a bit shook up. We all have cuts and
bruises from the impact and the air bags, but we feel extremely lucky.
However our van was not so lucky. Its looking like the axle snapped on
impact, which will most likely leave the van totaled. We are currently
looking into rental options to get home and will then be trying to do
whatever we can to try and get a new van. If you have some change in
your pocket or a dollar laying around here or there and would like to
help out please go to our myspace page for more info. I want to thank everyone who has
expressed their concern!! We are looking forward to getting home,
healing up and, pending a resolution to our travel situation, heading
back out for the east coast portion of the Head Automatica / Morningwood tour.
